5/2/2010 Recreation/Social will meet at the marina on Wed. May 5th @ 10:00 am. Time to get started on a new year. Bring your ideas! Would be nice to see some new and younger faces. Would like to have some events for the kids, but need help from their parents. Coffee hour will be every Sat. at 8:30 am. Will post what we come up with for the New Year as soon as we have the meeting. 4/27/2010 Coffee hour The EPOA is happy to announce "Coffee Hour" on Saturday, May 1 from 8:30 to 10:00. Donation of $1.50 for the coffee and donuts, etc. a good way to start the weekend a nice morning snack and good conservation. We hope to see you there. The Recreation Committee met on May 5th to discuss the plans for this year. We went over last year's events. We discussed what we would like to do this year. COFFEE HOUR Coffee hour was started on April 24th and was hosted by Dottie Patterson, Linda Bertodatti & Kathy Kirkpatrick. Each week someone volunteers to host the coffee hour. It is on Sat. morning from 8:30-10:00 am. If you wish to do one there is a sign-up sheet at the Marina. The last Sat. of the month (except May) we will be doing a breakfast. DINNER CLUB The monthly Dinner Club will once again be on the 2nd Friday of the month. We meet at the restaurant that is chosen at 6:00 pm. If you have a suggestion of where we should go call Ann Jardon @ 857-1017 and let her know. She is the one who makes the reservations for us. Below is a month by month review of what we have so far decided to do. JUNE 11th. Dinner Club at Trios. Meet at 6:00 pm. Sign-up required. 19th. Pot Luck Supper. Bring a dish to share. Beverages will be supplied. A sign-up sheet will be at the Marina and the Office. This will help everyone to get an idea of what to bring. 26th. Pancake Breakfast. Donation is $3.00 per person. Donuts & rolls will be there for those who do not wish to have pancakes. JULY 3rd. Golf Cart Parade- Line up at 10:00 am. Prizes will be awarded for 3 categories. Ice Cream Social @ 1:00 pm.. Donation of $1.00 per serving. 11th. Dinner Club. Possibly at the Capri Restaurant Our next meeting will be Wed. June 2nd. at 10:00 am @ the Marina. At that time we will try to plan the rest of the events for the season. Come join us and give your input & ideas. REMINDER: Sign-up sheets will be at the Marina and the office for most of the events. We still have a few events coming up. We have been busy through the year. Coffee hour ended on Oct. 31st with bacon and eggs breakfast. Our once a month breakfast went very well this year. The Halloween Party was a success with about 30 kids in attendance. We did a hanging donut game with the kids. They really seemed to enjoy that. I will list the events we have coming up for the remainder of the year. Sat. Nov. 21st. Thanksgiving Pot Luck Dinner at 2 PM. You can sign up by calling the office. Tell them how many will be attending and what dish you will bring to share. Sat. DEC. 5th. Annual Cookie Exchange at 3 PM. Those who are attending should bring 5 dozen of your favorite Holiday cookies in exchange, you take home 5 dozen of the cookies others have brought. Coffee will be served with a dessert. Fri. DEC. 11th. Dinner Club Holiday Party @ Bo Dee's. Those attending are asked to bring a gift to exchange (up to $10.00 value). Either a man's, woman's or universal gift brought wrapped and marked with- MAN, WOMAN, or EITHER on the gift. Sat. DEC. 12th. EPOA Holiday Luncheon at 1 PM. The Escape will provide Ham, Turkey & Roast Beef. If you plan to attend call the office with what dish you will bring to share with the number of those attending. It can be veggies, potatoes, salad or dessert. Sun. DEC. 13th. Children's Holiday Party at 2 PM. Snacks & drinks will be provided. We are still working on the entertainment. Of course "Jolly Ole St. Nick" will make an appearance I'm sure! Hope to see a lot of you at these events. We try to make them for all to enjoy. If you have any suggestions for the coming year just let the office know, and if you would like to help we can always use it.
